A guided meditation is one where a SoulSensei leader guides you through a meditation practice either in person or via audio or video. These could be meditation for stress and anxiety, meditation practices for beginners or meditation for deep sleep. These types of guided meditation often include calming music and specific instructions to help you relax, focus, and achieve a deeper state of awareness.
Meditation has multiple mental and physical benefits including decreased stress, lower anxiety, increased peace of mind, lower blood pressure, better sleep, deeper relaxation and increased connection to yourself and self-awareness.
There are many different types of meditation, which include but are not limited to mindfulness meditation which focuses on being present in the moment; transcendental meditation which involves silently repeating a mantra; a body scan meditation where you scan your body for areas of tension and a vipassana meditation which is a traditional Buddhist practice focused on insight.
To see real meditation benefits, one should ideally practice every day. Your meditation practice can be as short as 5 minutes or as long as 30 minutes, but by building up to longer times, you will see more significant results.
