Meditation has multiple mental and physical benefits including decreased stress, lower anxiety, increased peace of mind, lower blood pressure, better sleep, deeper relaxation and increased connection to yourself and self-awareness.
There are many different types of meditation, which include but are not limited to mindfulness meditation which focuses on being present in the moment; transcendental meditation which involves silently repeating a mantra; a body scan meditation where you scan your body for areas of tension and a vipassana meditation which is a traditional Buddhist practice focused on insight.
Sound therapy is a therapeutic practice that uses sound vibrations, music, and specialist instruments played in therapeutic ways to improve physical and emotional well-being. Instruments like gongs, tuning forks, and singing bowls help balance the body's energy centers, or chakras. The music can include wind chimes, percussion instruments, metal tubes, etc. Combined with deep self-reflection techniques, sound therapy induces deep relaxation, reduces stress and anxiety, enhances mental clarity, and promotes overall healing.
